hey there,

i'm really new to that. thats why i could'nt search for an answer to my question, cause i did'nt know what to search for :-)

so, my problem is:
i make a new sequence --> and then i want to create different tracks.
but when i record my second track i can't hear it together with the first one.
when i hit 'solo' on it i hear it, when 'solo' is deselected it disappears?!

i tried to figure that shit out all afternoon and i'm sure it's easy and stupid
but i can't solve it :-)

please folks

first things first
which mpc are you using?
are you making midi tracks or sample tracks?

my guess giving what you've said is that you have another track solo'd or your tracks are muted.
you should basically be able to get this going from scratch and not ever touch the solo button.
let me repeat that - dont touch the solo button. it should have nothing to do with this so lets rule it out.

thanx for the replies!

I'm using the mpc 1000 with jjos 01.
none of the tracks is solo nor muted.

- i started by chopping a sample and creating a program out of it
- then i recorded (dum mode) a basic beat with the samples on track 01
- i wanted to add other samples of the program on track 02 but it's not audible
- when i switch what i recorded to solo suddenly i hear it :?:

both tracks use the same program. the pads are poly and simult.
i don't get it. i might be missing smth.

Maybe some pgm parameter or setting is muting the track.

Maybe there's something in step edit that shows what is happening on that track or track 1.

my research in the net showed that more folks had the same question.
they tried to use the same program for different tracks and it muted or cutted off.
one wrote that his workaround was to copy the program to use it again on another track to avoid the mute or cutoffs he had. but is this really the solution?

anyway thanx so much for the fast answers :-)

big up

Since so many people had the same problem, do you think it's a bug, something that can be fixed with an update, are you on the latest update on you machine or what?/
