I'd like to start using my MPC a bit more in my band. I haven't worked out the details yet, but I'm hoping to use it for live looping, overdubbing, or sampling and triggering guitar parts. Has anyone done anything like this?

Do you think two foot switches is limiting? Would I be better off getting something like a Behringer FCB1010 which supposedly can send midi notes? That way maybe I can map more functions to the buttons, and I'd have the expression pedals too. Might that work better?

Any thoughts?

By the way, will I be able to route the click (or a dedicated click sample/track) to headphones for the drummer to sync to?

are you using jjos yeah? The new looper function in JJOSXL could be what you need. Also you can send a sample for your click track via a seperate outs as well. This will give you a click track foryour drummer. Im sure you can do this maybe with akaisys and free jjos but there is no looper in these. JJOSXL will allow you to have looper and seperate out for drummer click track. THis is assignable outs as well not the headphones. which wont work as headphone out is same as stereo out.
Ok now expression pedals. Look it all depends on what you want to do. I can set up foot switches to trigger pads in JJOSXL and then of course this will play sample you want. Other useful functions as well like overdub ect.
There is a big difference between midi and non midi footswitchs, dont get them confused. MPC foot switchs are not midi. So no midi expression pedal is no good unless you want to make it complicated and use midi mergers ect.
keep it simple. MAybe a bit of work before gig and make bank of samples you want to use
