There is a pt le isn't there? Fruity Loops can do more than you think. I think any of those programs will do.

"Rap beats" can be made with any program. :?

ok you need to check out Reaper.

http://www.reaper.fm/

should be more than enough for you to be getting on with.
But don't skimp on just sitting down with your mpc on its own and making beats. You can do an awful lot without additional PC help.

I'm being honest with you and with your capitol letters.

Mixing and midi'ng can be done super well on damn near any Daw/Sequencer you choose, that's real. Dude get off your high horse just because you didn't get the exact answer you were looking for. You question was very general and not specific at all so I gave a broad answer. Not trying to disrespect you at all, geez Mr. Capitol, calm down. And again really there's no best. Best is subjective to what each and every person likes wants and needs ya know.

@ op, no reply? I was actually trying to get you around some thinking and understand some stuff. Help doesn't always come in the form of a straight answer. Clarity, advice and suggestions are help as well. ...but then you disappear?

Can't help but  @ Nym's sig.

Nym: I've really been loving your signature, and I'm so glad I've stumbled across its origin in context. I love this forum!

Op: Seriously though, I haven't even touched Logic or any other DAW since having gotten my MPC--its a beast with bells and whistles.

It's really all about making beats on the toilet. All day.
