Mpc4000 effects problem, please help.

Hi... i have a problem with an MPC4000 BL PLUS. It has OS 1.71, and the Effects Card is shown in the Global Menu as INSTALLED. I have tried every thing but cant get effect to play back in Multi or Program Mode. I have...

Gone to Multi and raised the FX db level from -40 db to 0 db. Assigned the send to A

Gone into EFFECTS, selected an effect for all four blocks, raised the level there.

Went into Program and MIXER and set db send levels to 0 db from -40 db. and selected destination for SEND, i tried Multi, A, B,C, D, AD, CD...

Nothing seems to be getting to the effect.

i DID have a FATAL ERROR last night when assigning a destination to one of the Q controllers... only at the Fatal Error Crash did i suddenly hear a wash of reverb and delays as then screen turned Black. I have used the MPC several times after the crash with no issues or errors EXCEPT the lack of effects.

am I just missing something basic?

No guarantee this will work, but try going to>Global>Initial which will initialize all parameters in the 4K. Might help if it's a software issue.

Thanks... Tried it, it did not work. From what i have discovered on this forum, others have had this issue. The vibe i get is that its the efx card itself. In any case, i am glad i found this forum... Great info here.

Yeah I have the white 4k...have yet to experience that issue.
