PREFUSE 73 How Does He Do It

Every interview I read he claims to use only and MPC 2000. WTF?!? How does he get all those crazy synths and edits and glitches. Any insight?

His later stuff is 4000 with a Moog Voyager.

I saw them in concert and they had a MPC2000, a mac laptop with a Pro-tools setup, a Moog Minivoyager, and another synth, as well as two turntables. This was about a year and a half ago.

Honestly I'm not that big into prefuse. I thought his stuff was mildly entertaining, but not quite grabbin me.

Kinda like some autechre stuff, wow that's weird, NEXT!!

Plus he's kind of an asswhole in interviews.

From what I heard, it seems like he just does a lot of micro edits with weird sustain loops in odd places. That kind of stuff is much better on an ASR-10, anyone heard Jan Jelinek's Loop finding Jazz records? Now that is some sick shyt.

First of there was no later stuff the only record after one word extinguishe was extinguishe outtakes and those are from the same session. Every interview he did after that album was released he claims to use a 2000 only! But really that's all really moot point. The real reason for this thread was to get some insight on his production. anybody

no he sequences on a 2000 or did for his four releases under prefuse...and uses pro tools to chop and edit his sounds...
