how to check if s950 has scsi

Thats the raw specification. It does not necceserely tell you how the bandwidth is on the specific Device (in this case: s950)

I'm pretty sure that a year or 2 ago someone posted the time it takes to load files from DD floppy and SCSI zip or something but I cant get the correct search terms to find it.

I would say there is no absolute loading time for a HD (or DD. BTW why do you want DD when the 950 can use HD??).
It depends on the floppy drive, the disk itself and how many samples are on the disk. The loading time for 1 sample with the size of 1MB is faster than 20 samples that all together have 1MB.

I wonder why you want to know the exact time. You can see clearly that SCSI provide a much faster loading than the floppy drive. It also depends on the SCSI device itself. ZIP drives, HardDrives or MO Drives have different specifications.

I don't think anyone wants dd disks in their S950.
The OP started by talking about the S950 but half way through the first page of the thread started asking about the MPC60. He wanted to know how long load times were on the MPC60 - not the S950. I mentioned DD disks because the MPC60 can not use hd disks..
