Price?

Okay before people start calling me a MPC noob or Akai affiliate because I just registered, Yes I am a noob but in the next few weeks I was going to order an MPC1000 because I have saved up enough money. Since the announcement of the new series I have put off the purchase and I am now considering one of these machines.

Honestly I think the Renaissance looks great, part of me says it will be around the same price of the MPC1000 as it is just a controller (speculated) and NI maschine is the same price as the 1000, but then looking at the features in comparison to maschine and how Akai are calling it their new 'flagship' model, I think its gonna be really expensive, like £1000>. People seem to think the Studio will have similar features and price to maschine but we will just have to wait and find out.

Okay, websites in the UK are now advertising the Renaissance as £2000 which is about $3000. Why so expensive for a controller? I will not be purchasing the machine if these prices are correct.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if that was at least close to the final price..

Here's me thinking it would cost somewhere $800-$1500

It seems the MPC1000 may be my option.

you can use the 1000/2500/etc. standalone. you can also use them as controllers for your software apps. so you can do both.

a controller like maschine can not be used standalone. you´ll always have to have a computer connected to it.

go with a classic mpc and call it a day!

Wow. I know it's a deluxe controller compared to Maschine, but I expected it to have a much lower price.

Not a bad choice at all. If you manage to wait till Ren hits the stores, the price on the 1k might go even lower. Add JJOS to that, and youll have a perfect beatmachine

I will be very surprised if that's the final UK price. Perhaps they have to enter a numerical value so they can take pre-orders on that Music Matter shop? F*ck knows. I'll be waiting for Digital Village prices, they're usually very on point.

But I honestly believe this will reach us here in the UK for about £800.

The more think about it, the more I believe the £2000 price.

thats is a steep price not something id get at that price point will see what the mpc studio has in strore
