I so laughed. Yes as mentioned above, these are analogue sequencers with no midi. Before midi it was control voltages. THere are in fact two different types as well, as not all companies agreed about how voltage pitch should work. I have a monotron and I have also played round with an original Korg MS20 which are both real analogue synths that use CVs (control voltages) for control over pitch env lfo ect. some like MS20 are semi modular and CVs are patchable, monotron has it prewired so no patching with out modding....
So these anaolgue controllers allow midi to CV so only then can you use midi gear like mpcs to drive pitch, envelopes, triggers lfos ect of analogue gear running on control voltages.
yeah the kit is kool, and a great solution for old gear. There is softeare now as well that uses DACs out
