its to obvious if you know what i mean. & dont forget about the Roland JVs, 1080s and 2080s are going for hella cheap now. u could prolly cop a 1080 and a proteus 2000 for under $700.

wow that 1080 sounds nice. i didnt want to spend over $700 (im looking at it for 799) but sounds pretty nice. and its expandable :) is it normal for these rackmounts to come with their own effects or should I be excited that this 1080 comes with all these effects? i could get down wit that

smoove, the 1080 comes with good effects. i got a 880, and it always comes through with with the icing on the cake, plus it got extra good rhodes, dope piano sounds, analogish basses, GOOD ASS FUNK GUITARS, ambient sounds and filters, JVs are hot.

Maybe u should be basing ur options on your needs/style of production.
Do u need keys....basses....bleepy synth sounds...etc

All of the above mentioned are good in their own right but do have some sort of edge over 1another

If money aint a thing, I'd run with the motif - Bang up to date with sounds and state of technology...JV series next...Even proteus with a Xtreme lead rom fitted will give u depth

yea bravo your right and thats what i been tryna do. i like to play my melodies. thats why when i saw the micron it sounded like what i need and at a decent price. then i saw that 1080 and felt that was a good deal. sounded like it has some nice sounds wit it. i liked those two most. yea money is definately a thang lol. thats why i was tryna set a limit for myself.

i could get both for under $700 total tho...
