You haven't bought Maschine because your MPC 1K OS is more powerful sequencer and much better sampler. Period. I think many people here don't grasp the idea of having MPC 1Ks OS installed on a PC.

Yeah see that's the problem with Akai. They try to compete with software DAW when they don't need too. They should make hardware machines that work with software.

Doubt that the Maschine is more powerful than my 1k(JJ OS)with Logic. I have no reason to cop a Maschine the 1k and Logic are holdin me down lovely.

It's not so much about what's more "powerful" and more about the the level of integration between the tools you're using that leads to a much faster workflow. In that regard, 1k(JJ OS) with Logic has nothing on Maschine with Logic.

Machine and logic together blows the knobs off the 1000 logic combo fam! trust me. Machine's fast work flow is why my mpc 5000 is collecting dust. tracking out of your mpc1000 is a pain compared to getting maschine's tracks into a daw.

I know people keep mention "ease of workflow" but many MPC users didn't have any serious issues with their workflow. That's what made the MPC top sellers because they were nice to work with. We all had out own little things we'd like to see, but overall it never stopped anyone making classic bangers past, present and future.

I think everyone is chasing the "I want to make hits in 5 minutes" cloud. When really, all you need to do is get down with your current setup, perfect the workflow, and get creative.

There is nothing "revolutionary" about the ren. that's going to change music history.

ctrl C and V rather than right click/copy/paste.
alt tab switching between open windows.

i never have to wait for anything or trundle through inconvenient menus to get at what i need to get at. if there's a repetitive task, i make a macro for it and i suddenly have a button to do it for me.

workflow is what i make out of it. i'm sure maschine is a wonderful product. but it doesn't do things that i'd expect it to as a sampler. to be fair, neither does jjos, but it comes closest without sacrificing anything else.

Just loading a sound into a mpc is slow.lol Akai wouldn't be making Ren if the 1000 was better than maschine.lol

Yeah but is it really slow enough to stop you from creating music? I never load in sounds on CF card or USB though. I usually record everything I need. Only thing I load is drums sometimes but even then I never have any issues.

No i understand that you like to do things slowly, because the process of making music with a mpc is slower than the process of making music with maschine.

If you want the Ren, you want Maschine made by Akai, with more hardware features. No mpc on the market can touch maschine, thats why Akai is making there version of maschine.lol

hm. not convinced. i might need to see a couple more entry level youtube videos. do you have any where they show you how to crossfade loop in maschine? or ren, for that matter. also would love to see SIMULT
