Says 11 on mine when I go to the site. Probably because of time differences.

Because I obtained the images. It's a thing we do in the underground when we obtain stuff that wasn't meant to be seen.

looks nice if it is indeed real but if this is the real deal it does look very compact, it was not what i expected but it does look clean and tidy.

and looks kinda flat like the kindle v3 so not sure if it will have the mpc feel but should defo be around 500 uk pounds

@ James Jeffrey, I'm assuming you have something to do with Akai as you leaked the pics, what is the thinking at Akai in releasing 3 controllers for the same software? And any info you have about the software would be greatly appreciated!

I just hope its not a bug ridden peice of nonsense as Akai don't have a great reputation when it comes to the software in their last lot of MPCs since Numark took over the reigns.

Build quality too, any info as to that?

Cheers!

This makes sense when you think about it, you have the MPC Fly for the iPad users. You then have two options for a regular computer, in a similar sense that NI have Maschine and Mikro. Different prices to help place product at different levels in the market. In the same way they used to have the 500, 1000, 2500 and 5000.

Oh.

Just thought it'd be an employee that 'leaked' pics.

Seems a bit daft to plaster your name over the pics that Akai are trying hard to keep quiet!

Anyway, i'll direct my questions to the reps at the Akai booth in Anaheim next week.

Yeah, i get the basic premise, but to release all three at the same time is just interesting to make sure that they all perform well on release (if indeed they are to be shipped to stores at the same release date, or a phased release maybe). They must be confident in their product stability etc - or have a good/large bug squashing and development team to deal with issues on release.

Yep, it looks sleek and portable. However I'm far more interested in the software behind these controllers and how it interacts with these different controllers. After all that's what is going to bring you the user experience and work flow.

If the soft is no good then these things are useless. You might aswell go with a padkontroller of your choice and Guru/Geist/Battery/whathaveyou

Otherwise you will just end up with pretty controller unit with alot of dedicated buttons for functions not available in the tool you actually end up using.

I imagine they'd have a staggered release, starting with the Renaissance and the other two coming later. Help generate revenue and interest with the most expensive while the buzz is still high.

In regards to the software, who knows? Let's hope they can support these new products.

It'd be dope if these 3 products would integrate seamlessly with each other, so you could open, edit, save using whatever works for you at any given time. I guess that's the plan they have. :)

It all boils down to the software tho. It. Has. To. Work. Period!

Well done James. 8) It does look rather splendid indeed.
Your foe is a little peeved me thinks

.................

looks cool ( I like the look of the Ren version to though). Only thing I had hoped for this model was the screen had the ability to be angled. Cant tell from the photos if this is possible.
