strain on the current coming from the controller on weak power supplies is my guess. Or, possibly if people are using USB hubs (such as the mpc ren which already is a 4 port hub supporting two devices by the looks of it) if the hub is not powered it's often good to power the device if possible... also, it was cheap to add in.

To be honest, I'm not really impressed. It looks cool I guess. Stylish like a Mac, but other than that, it really depends on the actual quality of the hardware and software when it is actually released.

Mostly, I think I'm not impressed because of the videos. It looks like they are trying too hard. Maybe its because the song sucks.

I may change my mind later when I actually see a real video, but the current video is just a bunch of dudes bobbing their heads and either holding one or fingering one....

Its just like the MPD32 which has buss power or external power supply. This has a lot of buttons and backlights.......

I am impressed. Software appears to be the same as the MPC Ren.

looking at the pic its dope that there are buttons for everything and 8 pad banks a - h. data select buttons for nav thru folders. seems real fresh.
