they had the chance to start a new line and have a true renaissance, but they're trying to get the cred of the mpc.
when 'midi' changed to 'music' in mpc, i was like, ok, that makes sense.
now that 'center' is changed to 'controller' - that's an entirely different device and i think it's kind of shady to do it like, behind our backs. it still says mpc and people assume it's an mpc, until you read the fine print (not that fine) and see that its a controller, not a sampler. the fact that people on youtube are STILL debating whether it's standalone or not is testament to how damaging this kind of marketing is.

to answer the original thread - i would have called them the same names but drop the mpc and switch up a bit.
