How do you organize your sample storage disks

I recently made a new MO disk with some nice sample sets, folders like 808, 707, DMX, and so on, and today I loaded some samples from different folders and created a nice program.
When I saved the program "without sounds" on the same disk and tried to load it again, I quickly noticed that it's not possible to do so - seems like the samples have to be in the same folder as the program file.

So what is the best solution for this? I guess I'd have to save the program "with sounds" into some other folder (e.g. a "programs" folder), of course this means that eventually all the samples will be copied, taking up more space.

How do you do it? Any different suggestions? Using several disks (one "sample library" disk and then one "programs" disk, etc)? Or completely different?

unfortunately, you are correct that the pgm and the sound files have to be in the same folder.

so what i do is keep one disk (sd card) loaded up with a ton of well organised sounds, and i keep another disk (cf card) to store my programs / sequences / sound copies.

yes, it takes up more space to have to copy the sound to another folder.
yes, anytime i create a new folder, i have to copy the sound if i want to use it.
but they are so small, space is not an issue for me, and im just thankful i can do it at all.

so i would consider keeping one human-organised sample library, and one (or more) mpc-organised program library.

^This is how I do it.
And now that I installed a CF reader, space is no longer a concern AT ALL.
If you're even wondering about taking up storage space, you should get a card reader.
(Not to mention before your zip gets the CLICK OF DEATH like mine did.)

Okay so I think it's not such a bad idea after all having the "source library" and then building programs out of it, which are saved at a different place.

So yesterday I also tried saving a program on ordinary floppy disks, to see how it gets split over several disks. Of course I'd also save them on MO for studio use, because it's faster to load that way, but I think it's not bad to also have important programs on floppy disks; that way I have a backup and if I take the MPC to a live gig, I do not have to worry about the MO drive or disk having issues, because I can still load it from an ordinary floppy disk.

But is it also possible to do that with samples that take up more space than one floppy disk? I noticed that when the MPC is saving the program, and the disk is full, it demands you to insert the next disk, but the last sample is not split up, instead it is copied as a whole to the next disk. So is it right that my maximum sample size would be 1.44 MB if I want to be able to save programs to floppy disks?
