Honestly, I enjoy my music-related apps from time to time, but the screen can be a huge pain in the arse at times. If this is strictly for music, I'd wait for the iPad 3 to drop then bag yourself a bargain iPad 1 or 2.

Yeah I don't wanna drop a lot of money on an iPad. That's why i considered the iPod Touch. But if the prices go down on the iPad 1 and 2 (and the both run all the good synth apps), I may consider it. For now, I'm just amazed between this, the Moog apps, and everything that integrates with my DAW. By the time I make a decision which device to buy (when the price is right), I'm sure a few more pro apps will surface.

I've had this app for a few months and thankfully it's been a nice purchase because I've used it in my latest tune. That's the key to any of these music making apps for me.

I agree with you. 2 years ago, I bought a Nintendo DSi XL just to run the Korg DS-10+. That's the first pro synth app I've seen on a portable device. But it's limitations aren't friendly for integration (no MIDI, no exporting audio files, etc.). It's still a lot of fun on it's own. But Had I known then what i know now, I would've saved the money and bought an iPod Touch instead of the DSi. Sometime this year, I'll go for the iPod Touch or iPad hopefully.

Yeah I thought it was the greatest thing since slided bread.
It's still dope having 4 mono synths and 8 drum synths, plus the effects which are fairly flexible. I meant to do a lot more with it. But I always get caught up in some other shit. One of these days I'll write a really dope electro track. I spend more time sound designing on it then I do making music. In hindsight, it's still a powerful synth that was worth the money for the DSi XL. Just a shame it can't integrate well in the studio.
