How is this k2000s (I guess the s stands for sampling) I never heard any sampled stuff from that machine. Is it more clean sounding or more gritty? (or maybe adjustable with samplerate etc)

peace

its actually got a really nice sampling rate at 48khz (better than my mpc), you can adjust it lower to 29khz if desired. however if my s-330 (circa 1985) has a really cool gritty sound that goes to 15khz

the roland S-330 is dope! i kinda regret selling mine, despite the fact that the AKAI s900 i replaced it with does everything i need it to do... the s330 was way ahead of it's time though... do you use yours with the mouse and video monitor as well? that's kinda the only way to really juice all it's features. if i ever see another one on the cheap, i'll probably pick it up for old time's sake.

I wish i had the mouse! i found a surplus ball-mouse with the same connection but it seems to only work with the original roland peripherals :( fortunately the video connection is pretty standard. if I had the mouse I'd definately use it more though. i like it for bass samples

Something just doesn't jive well with that color scheme, maybe in person it looks better and I'd be able to really appreciate the customness.
