System erorro - Pleas help

Hi,

i am a new MPC 1000 user and a new to the mpc system in genral

i have updated my O.S to the JJ 4.99 and cannot seem to be able to save things to the flash disk. i have cleared the flash disc so i know there is space and have checked the pins in the port for the card, (on advice from other posts) i have tried saving the small files so it is not a case of exceeding ram space or anything like that. i just get a system error box come up when trying to save. i have also tryed to save things on to the card from my mac and open them on the mpc, the folders come up but when going in to them by pressing the right arrow button "FAT error" mesage come up...

help would be great, thank you

Format your CF card / HD using the MPC, but if you have something precious stored, move all that stuff to your mac first.

im formating it on my mack thru disc utilities should the volume format be FAT?

Yeah it's fat, BUT you need to format it using your MPC:

FORMAT

SAVE SCREEN


When cursor is upper right field, press the [WINDOW] key, the "Property" window will open.



Press the F2[FORMAT] key.
