Hello all,
When I record a track, it works just fine. But when I try to record the next track, whatever sample I hit is the only one heard, and cancels whatever is recorded. I guess it "cancels" the recorded track. The recorded track will continue playing the same when the sample I tried to lay over it finishes. I have searched for a solution, but cannot seem to find one. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks everyone.

If you are using the same program on each track and that the program is set to mono then this might be th problem. Go into program and set to poly so more than one voice is played by that program at the same time. ie not mono.

That would work, but when set to poly the samples on each track overlap each other, which i do not want. One solution I found is to record every track with a different program. I know there must be a better solution though. Please help!

^^What Nym said. Its common to use different programs on multiple tracks!
To stop samples from overlapping use the Mute groups feature in the program window
