From turntable to and through??

Since Ive done a lot of research lately regarding methods of recording samples and relevant equipment I was wondering what y'all use to sample your breaks/sounds etc from turntable to MPC. What's in your chain: A simple dj mixer, phono preamp, (vintage) receiver..

I can pick up a pioneer sx434 for 40 bucks and a Yamaha r700 for 25 bucks. Im not really familiar with sampling though other than a dj mixer.

personally i use my mackie interface that has onboard eq and built in phono pre. i run my table through the mackie 1st and then back out into my mpc.

any other thoughts or info? someone?

As for me, turntable directly connected to MPC1000 via spdif.

i was thinking about picking up an Electrix Filter Factory (the green one). and maybe run my vinyl through that, then into the mpc

some threads i've seen said it works good on drums, so maybe drum breaks ran through it would give them some extra flavor

would really like some kind of filter to run the proteus 2000 through...im gettin off point tho

here´s what I do: Turntable connected to the battle mixer (Ecler Nuo 2). The Ecler runs into the 4k, I use high end xlr cables. I sample directly into the MPC, use the mixer´s eq to adjust certain frequencies. All the recorded data ends up in Wavelab, where I do some further editing like fades, adjusting peak points and so on. Not really using effects here just a little editing like I said. I get some great results working this way
