How many of you use Maschine?

Just wondering really, as there seems to be a lot of people using Maschine round here these days, and it got me thinking about doing some tutorials for it. Maybe not 'beat making on Maschine', but maybe some smaller, targeted tutorials.

Thoughts?

I don't use it personally, but would think there'd be a good size chunk of members here that'd be interested.

I just got one for Christmas and it is DOPE, I think some tutorials would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

I use it . I think it would be dope for someone to break down work flows for the MPC minded in MPC logic . Having been strictly an MPC user for 15+ years it took me a moment to wrap my head around the work flow and also, never being a software guy made it especially difficult .

I.E. : Break down the differences between scenes & sequences, groups & banks, stuff like that .

Edit : Also, a section on how to route the outs to audio tracks on DAW's would probably be a huge help . Took me waaaayy to long to figure that out (and the Maschine forum was no help) . I was used to just running my 8 outs to my interface and having at it .

+1 About to cop one very soon if Ren/Studio aren't slated for Spring release.

Great little unit, but I won't be ditching my 1K by virtue of the new unit's presence.

I'm still getting familiar with the NI unit and so far it is proving very useful.

Do remember that I do not use my MPC as much more than a glorified controller midi controller, as I found it worked way better than a dedicated MPD32 I bought way back ( talk about odd ? ).
But the Maschine works well straight out of the box and is fairly intuitive.

As for tutorials, I'm sure a fair few of the users will be prepared to chip in ?

I am a Maschine owner....user? That depends in interpretation.

I own and use Maschine. I also own a MPC 1000... I got one when they first came out... but I haven't touched that thing in years.

It's going to be interesting to see how many former MPC owners Akai can win back. It seem like almost everyone I know that owned a MPC now uses NI Maschine.

I used to be a Hardware only guy and would laugh at cats using Fruity Loops until one day I downloaded Fl Studio demo and made some dope sh*t.

Then I got NI Maschine... when they added VSTi support it was a "Wrap".

But if the price is right... I'll give MPC Ren a chance.

The best thing Akai has going for it now is the "MPC" name... Akai is lucky that the word "controller" starts with a "C"... so they could still use "MPC" and have it make sense in the name. So someone would say... "I heard they have a new 'MPC" out"... as apposed to... "I heard AKAI has a new "Controller" out".

The name "MPC" alone will put some money in Akai's pockets... but will that be enough... we'll have to wait and see.

i'd definitely get some of these. i did quite a bit of the mpc2000xl one & i learnt alot but i just couldn't get into the mpc, it's like a giant scientific calculator & i suck at maths so yeah

definitely great tutorials tho

I use one! And so does Explicit. We both got ours back in October/November.
