The words "support" and "Akai" rarely feature in the same sentence unfortunately!

I still think it's strange that the promo vids don't show the software being controlled by the hardware. Not even a cheeky visual suggestion of them working in tandem... nothing. :?

Do you mean the same community I have been apart of since the community was founded? Take a look in the mirror and re-read your comments. If I didn't know any better, I would think you worked for Native Instruments trying to subvert the MPC Forums. :?

This "community" will most likely grow larger when they new MPCs are available. Hopefully, you guys will make the new forum members feel welcomed.

If you don't like the new Akai MPCs...then use the old Akai MPCs. You may feel less important, but I reassure you that you are still a valuable member of the community as long as your contribute in a positive manner. For the record, I ****** on the Akai MPC 1000 when it was released. My behavior was disruptive. Don't be the same way.

I know what I want...very excited about the new Akai MPCs. I personally don't care what you spend your money on. Do not buy it if it is something that you don't want or need. I am not trying to sell you on any particular MPC. You want to use Maschine (NI's MPC)...great, I am sure we can exchange some useful tips. What to use the MPC 1000 w/JJ OS...great alternative..new features added contantly.

But to misquote someone is petty.....

... accurate considering what's been going on around the forums lately.

Still, we'll leave it there. You are a 'fanboy' and I can accept that. I happen to like my MPC also - and I've possibly been using the MPCs from around the time you squeezed your first pimple in High School ?

So, who were you before JAH on here ? I have been a member for a fair number of years myself, but I do not recall you at all ??

Laughing so hard at this!

"You can make a whole pop beat on the MPC and it's got the whole grime sound to it"

"MPC has just got that groove. That bigger drum sound that you can't possibly get"

That dude with the gold chain is obviously on crack cocaine.

If you don't know who I am, obviously you haven't been a member here for a long time. Jah/Jahrome/Askia Shaheed........I was the first forum member with the MPC 4000, 2500, and 5000....(on a side note...the first Korg Forum Member with a Kronos).....

Just got finished reading your past posts. All excited about buying Maschine just a few months ago. I get it...you sold off gear, saved, to afford Maschine now some thing better is coming out and it makes you feel left out in the cold....your Maschine should still work when these new MPCs are dropped. No worries....

No, you don't get it, Jah - far from it ! Ok, so I do recall a few of those other names now ... But as regards saving for these toys, please !! I could buy the entire range of new units without even denting the interest from my savings monthly, but that's far from the points that I was making. Infact, in all truth, I was looking at these new units from the perspective of the very people that have to scrape the money toegther for such units, which was why i was questioning the possible pricing policy that might be in place ?
Still, if you want to run with your delusions about me, knock yourself out

Wow. This explains a lot. When I was a kid, the best part of the day was to go out on the playground for an hour. There was this kid who would start a line to go back inside 10 or 15 minutes before our time was up. He was always first. Over time I noticed that he attracted a small group of followers who always deferred to him and who were always behind him. At the time, I never understood that. But looking back I realize just how uncomfortable he was out on the playground with the other kids. It was messy, rough, argumentative and generally choatic. He didn't like that environment so had to create his own little reality.
