Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

Oh, no! This is incredibly depressing, because. . .

I bought an MPC 3000 off eBay yesterday, and I ordered Vailixi 3.50 today. When I didn't get any kind of response from Mansell, I looked him up online and found this conversation.

Worst of all, the only reason I bought the MPC 3000 was because a friend had just told me about Vailixi 3.50 and how perfect its features would be for my peculiar studio setup.

Ugh. This is an unfortunate situation.

I did the same thing at the end of December. Just get your money back and hope for the best.

"I have told him to sort it out and he unfortunately hasnt. Its dissapointing to see him doing this especially after he has always been so solid in the past.
The whole issue is a long story that involves some issues that cant be mentioned on online forums.
Like I said. I told him so many times to deal with this and for some odd reason he just hasnt uttered a word online ..
Sorry mate but I have tried my hardest..
Thanks

I wouldn't go that far - bad things can happen to good people...

someone who has taken the time to type the gazillion posts on this forum to help people doesn't just disappear over nothing. I'm in no way saying its ok to take people's money, just that it sounds like the guy is dealing with something like the death of a family member or something of similar importance making him not want to deal with the real world, we've all got our own way of dealing with things right or wrong. doubt he is reading this lot and counting his potential future profits in his head.

on the level though - his site HAS to be blocked!!

Word! Could be anything from family matters, heart attack, jail time, around the world trip, coding os 3.12 for mpc60 to feeding kangaroos! Give the man a break he´s given outstanding support to the mpc community thru the years. I bought the upgrade a couple years ago and he delivered fast and flawless! Rohan is a good guy!

I know without a doubt that Rohan its a good guy. I've bought stuff from him before smooth without problems. Yet the fact remains that I paid for the OS in Aug. So at this point I care about nothing except getting my ish...

People on this forum who have access to, or who have acquaintances with access to Rohan, need to make an effort and take some steps towards helping to get this situation sorted.

Everyone who paid before this thread started is one thing, but the fact that people are still paying money and losing out is another. This isn't cool.

Someone can and needs to do something. Step up whoever you are!

same here! just found out about the sample editing improvements in valixi (i was trying to ignore it having read the rohan post!) and £200 doesnt sound quite so bad now...is the disk version limited then? or more buggy? (apart from taking up sample room..) I'm guessing it won't run on disk on my OS3.10 (looking into upgrade to 3.11 now but wish i ddint have to waste my time when rohan could return!)
