Bad screen? + vid

Hey guys just got a mpc 3000 and was learning how to sample and right when I was about to sample the screen started to fade away and went blank. So I assume screen right?...And all the lights turn on and stay on.

Anyways I got it kinda cheap so I was wondering what you would do?...sell as is on eBay ?...or take the time to find a screen and replace it myself?

Could be a couple of different things.

Check the ribbon cabling inside to make sure nothing has come loose.

If the cabling OK, the LCD may not be getting voltage from the mainboard, there is a raised resistor on the near the ribbon cable that goes to the LCD which acts as a fuse for the LCD. Check this with a multimeter to see if it's blown/open.
