Computer question..

I am an amateur in this field... just wondering any thoughts on this set up for a PC computer for music.

I think it was around 3 grand, but just looking at the specs.. for basic hip hop productions to sell on the street..... thanks fro your time.

To much money if you ask me. You can get better deals than that. Look online and go to your local pc stores. What are you going to be running on your pc?

I can build you a computer for waaay less than that. I just did some work with a band, and before we started, I made the bassist buy a new computer and assembled it before the session. We bought the case, a P4, nu motherboard, two hard drives, a cd burner, and a gig of memory for less than $500. I put it together with XP and Cubase in two hours. Send me some cheese and I'll do the same for you!!!

that's way to much money dude..for max 1 g you got a dope ass comp..if I was you I go cop a dope audio interface (like the 001/MOTU type of biz)

for around 2 G's you're good to go

I would also check for a good monitor. You've got the choice between a flat panel monitor, or a classic CRT monitor (nowadays they all come with a flat screen). A decent keyboard + mouse (like the ones of Logitech) are also recommended.

I put together a AMD, 1G ram, 120G HD, optical audio inputs, the whole nine for under $400....Sonar was......lets say very, very cheap and actually better than ProTools as a program (you're paying for that Digi box thing)...if you have a MPC, the computer should just be for recording and mixing, you don't need more than $500 on that....

best bet is a digi 002 rack and a mac g4 , cant go wrong get both for like 3 grand . u will be very good to go. and the video is th shyt
