I definitely will. Only reason I went with Maschine is because Akai didn't offer anything like it. However, it does have to actually out-perform Maschine. Not just copping it for the sake of it being an MPC. Functionality is the most important factor!

Word.. I love my 5000 but the Ren is looking mighty nice. I never wanted to be one of them cats with a collection of MPC's but... ya know... I just might cop Ren but my 5000 stays. no one else is gonna want a yellow and black 5000 anyways. it has to stay. him and ren will be brothers. I'll just name my 5000 ice cube.

... and this along with 'reliability' will be the deciding factors for these units. Like I said - leaving JAH fanboy aside for one minute - I will monitor how the units perform and mature ? Along side this, I would want to see an 'unbuggy' product launch and swift action form Akai if it doesn't pan out that way ? ( we all know how woeful their aftersales service has been up until now with other product ! ).

And, if the products live up to the hype, then I may opt for one in time, as long as using the unit will bring greater benefit to me than what I already use ? ( I have said this enough times before ! ). What the likes of JAH do not realise, is that I am a musician that writes and composes from the ground up and drum beats are just one part of this process, so my use of tese drum units is minimal nowadays. hence me buying the MPD32 and trading that useless box up for the 1000 ( and to be fair, the 1000 has never let me down at all ... the Maschine just added to the whole thing, I guess ).

What you fail to realize is that Jah doesn't care what you do or buy. I don't know what I said or implied that would make you feel I cared.

I don't know if he uses maschine or not, but I read that the Cos will be selling his drums for an mpc...
