for the su700 owners

I am kinda new to the Yamaha SU700 ( I own it for a week now), but I can already say damn that thing is totally underrated !
the sample/ trim/ effect functions are so epic easy just like setting up some nice drums, I feel like I can almost do anything I would want to, except for setting 2 loop points, like having a left start point and at the right the end point and when it comes there it goes back to the start point ( sorry for my english)

I have read most of the manual but I can't seem to find this tiny particular part, if anybody got the answer for me that would be awesome!

I am not sure if the su700 can set up 2 loop points on the same sample. If it can, I am not sure how to do it.

The su700 is great for loops, combining different loops together and making them mesh/match timewise, and not bad in the timestretching department. The efx are also better than the mpc's effects.

Where the mpc destroys the su700 is in it's sequencer. Also with drums - and having the ability to layer multiple sounds on one pad. Storage can become an issue with the su700, before I found the scsi card for mine some of my beats were on like 12 floppies. Loading them took forever, and I lost a few beats because of corrupted floppies.

Anyway if anyone else knows how to do that 2 point loop thing, let me know. I'd love to learn a new trick!

thanks for the info man, I've read it somewhere but they weren't saying how its done so I suppose it is possible.

About the sequencer of the su, I think theres nothing wrong with it , only the ability to layer drums in the mpc, thats aight but I don't really need it.

Btw I got the scsi card .. the loading indeed takes very very very long but thats cool with me once its on it's on.

I use the su700 for almost all my beats
