Bollyhood? if so how can I get the dl link ... i know its been a couple years.

EDIT------>
one of the owners of the original RE-201 says the RE-20 is not quit as nice with the crazier spacier sounds and that it sounds kind of digital with higher pitch sounds.

 yeah that's me. You can d/l bollyhood for free here:

http://buddymaxwell.bandcamp.com/

(I also just threw up an ep - done on the mpc 2500 & s950 for free d/l too)

And I agree totally with what that guy said about the "digitalness" at higher frequencies of the RE-20. If you want the warmest, craziest dub reverb/echo/ washes of sound you GOTTA go with the OG RE-201. Just my 2 cents, lol.

:) Thanks psr!

Also I'm glad you're digging the re-20! I demo'ed mine in store for about 20 minutes and I must of driven everyone crazy with all the echos of echos and delaying the delays....lol

Post up some comparisons if you end up copping the el capistan unit - I'd love to hear them side by side!

yeah I peeped that but i read that it's not as full featured with the various effects as the dedicated ones are because its a multi effects unit.its said that it sounds a little digital too. i want the warmth. but it is a nice unit.

never tried the re-20 but i've heard that is a good alternative to the original (and expensives) roland tape units

don't buy the boss adapter
it's noisy as hell
i was using it with the rc-20xl loopstation and i always got a very annoying hum
now i use this stabilized 1000mA universal mains adapter:
axis switchmode power supplies #9902 -- http://www.switchmodepower.de/
best adapter i ever used - i've used it with the rc-20xl (and the hum is gone) and with the boss digital delay pedal fx (good delay unit) that also got a background noise with the other adapter
don't know why the boss adapter is so noisy

A few other ideas:

If you want analog delay at a faire price:
Electro Harmonix Memory Boy or Memory Toy
MXR Carbon Copy

As for digital effects, Eventide make the best stuff around
Take a look at the Eventide Time Factor, pricy but awesome
I personnally use the TC Electronic Nova Delay, I love that you can set you delay time in BPM to match your song tempo, and the sound quality is great of course. It also has stereo inputs and outputs, something you rarely see on other pedals.
