I hate syncing my MPC with pro tools. When I owned a 1000 I preferred to press play and record on my MPC manually, in time with my pro tools session. I got pretty good at this, and my MPC would lock up with pro tools for as long as I wanted - 5 minutes even.
Problem is, when I track into pro tools with my MPC 4000, manually syncing, or even just recording an MPC jam into pro tools, it goes waaay off sync with my PT session even though both are set to the same BPM.
My MPC starts rushing, even after 16 bars or so. Forget recording 5 minutes.
Extremely extremely frustrating. Has anybody found a solution to this problem? With the 1000, it worked instantly.
Please help.
