Heads were falling over themselves to start threads as soon as these models were announced. I suspect the 'Ren/Studio Bug Thread' will be a good one to start!

I anticipate the first forum member to create such a thread will be one that doesn't own (or plan to own) a Ren or Studio.

The release date is far away im trying hard not to buy a 5000 or maschine

I would say go ahead and buy one of them...you can probably find a good price on eBay. You can always keep or sell it. Don't stop the music from flowing. :D

Yeah i'm close on the 5K, that will let me let the bugs get squashed on the ren into 2013.

looking more and more of the videos and pics...i know the ren will feel right. the studio, i think looks nice and portable and thats what I personally want..........but it seems like one of those that would be nice to touch and try in person just to be sure you get the same feel out of it.

we will see, im with no doubt the REN will be sweet. like im sure the REN will have an mpc feel (assuming software is right), but the studio might be more of a hybrid (feels like mpc, but no 100%)

i guess this is speculation tho, will have to wait and see!

It's like this for me,I been an mpc-head since 95' I've always done whole projects on them so it's more than just a beat machine for me but it does have it's endearing limitations but let's face it these days in order to compete with what is out there you need a little more.I know the mpc have always wanted to try the software realm but was too over welmed by all of the choices so I'm gonna give this a shot who knows the ren and the 5000 could make good team.

That is a picture of the MPC 2000XL you have here. That is not original. The team that put together the XL is not the team that put together the MPC 60 and 3000 (the originals).

That's a 2000. Not an XL.
