has anyone used a 6 Volt adapter and a USB cable at the same time on their MPD24? I just purchased one cause i was led to believe that buying an adapter would make it so the MPD isn't draining any energy from the computer to power it

i believe the power adapter is only needed when using the MIDI in/out ports to control external hardware, as the USB cable will not send power to those ports.

correct.
sometimes i use the mpd24 pads to trigger samples in real time from the s950 and/or the sp1200
want to try this with the sp303 (which got no velocity sentitive pads)
