what was the modifier key for the "change sequence" version of this? i had it hotwired to another button on my mpc but removed the button, so i can't remember/find which one it was.

I like that this shortcut doesn't copy all the settings to a new pad because a lot of times I just want to copy over the sample but still tweek it individually BUT there are times where it would be helpful to copy the pad completely (sample and all settings) to a new pad. Is there a shortcut for this?

yes, it's very similar.
hold undo while in the "PAD" column of GPE and then hit the pad you want to copy to.
done.
