Thanks Fellas. I couldn't fit my guitars and basses in the picture and my JP8000 is out on "loan" right now. I just have fun with this stuff. The 2500, 3000, and 60 were all Pawn Shop finds so I just couldn't stop myself from buying them. The 2000XL is the first MPC I ever owned. I bought it back from my cousin that I sold it to in 2007 and he just never used it. So it has a sentimental value to me. I never thought that I would get it back!

I like the M-Audio monitors that I have. They sound Ok and were not too hard to "learn".

That sucks! There are always people who just gotta try to get over. I am glad you got your money back. There should be plenty of 1000's around so keep looking.

Is that a mind control blue light up above, lol.

How's that nanokontrol treating you, what programs do you use it with?
I was thinking about getting some control faders j7ust because I get tired of the mouse but I didn't want anything big, just something small and tactile to control my channels in Sony Vegas.

Haha yeah the Fast Track Ultra mind control light

The nanoKontrol2 is an alright controller for the price. It's entirely made out of plastic. The knobs and faders (quite short ones) have a cheap feel to them but again, for 50 euros.. I also have an UC33 but realized I didn't need all the knobs so I bought the nanoK2 to gain a bit of space on the desk and in the gigbag.

I use the nanoK2 to control effects in Ableton live in a live context. I use the mpc1k as master sequencer only (I assign mpc pads to unwarped ableton clips/slices) and ableton as sound module. The nanoK controls effects assigned to either channels or master in Ableton live.

i always think that it is not what ya got, but what ya do with it! i have to think that cos i do not have much :) but it makes you push the limits of your gear and be more creative, just look at how squarepusher made his first albumn.
ImageImageyeah its a mess. iMac just there to edit Fantom XR in the rack. No DAW just edits synth. Not powerful enough to use it for DAW really. And MPC s sequencer brain, and you can see Korg D1200 down the back behind the table. I am gonna get longer cables and bring it closer for ease of use. D1200 CD dive just broke in the last week and has made me listen to only my stuff and work on it, so no rush to fix it yet. I have a few other drum machines but they gather dust after being sampled into MPC, so not in use.
