Whats up yall I know you guys probably get these alot but hear me out. First off a little background info i've been using a cracked version of Ableton (I know I know... I just wanted to start makin beats) for a while now and Im starting to feel like using software has got me feelin like im programming shit instead of makin music. A little later my friend let me borrow his maschine but i wasnt really feelin the software-hardware mix.
Now I've done my research but I wanna ask... Would an MPC 1000/2500 be a good investment even if this era of software becoming more popular?
The main thing that attracts me is being able to sample off a turntable (just got into crate digging instead of gettin samples off the internet, lol) and bang out beats on the MPC and when its all said and done.. track out to my comp to mix.
I guess you can say i've just been gettin caught up with the software hype with news of the renaissance and as a new producer I feel like the standalone MPCs will be obsolete soon enough. And it doesnt help that im at school for comp. engineering and hardware is my shit.. lol. I know this is long but thanks for takin your time to read and please help me decide!
