ASR10 has a load of effects already in it.

The ASR's line in can be set as active so you can connect your mpc main outs to it if you want and the mpc will play through the ASR like a mixer w/ asr10 effects.

That's exactly what I did yesterday.

But it's said something like no effects founds or something like that.
But later on I found out it has some effects out of the box.

It's an amazing piece of hardware man.
I couldnt find the option Timecompression/Expansion yet I'm really curious about this option but the manual wasnt very precise on this.

but the sound that comes out is tremendous!

If your mind wont change over from the mpc way of thinking you will be lost forever on the asr. If you are able to switch your thinking then you will figure out stuff in a good amount of time.

TIME COMPRESS/EXPAND

Press Command / Wave / scroll using the arrow buttons

While there is no substitute for sitting down with the box and going through each and every option. I'd strongly recommend you get a copy of 'Sample Magic'.
Its far better than the ASR-10 manual (which itself isnt that bad) and is a much more enjoyable read.

oh it will take a long time. Generally when you do time compress/expand you need to set the quality fairly low - then see if you like the sound, and if so - do it again with a higher quality.

I didn't know this...
but I read about it. :wink:

So now your ASR is going to be on for another few hours or you lose all your work...
Very few people like to read more than they like to use the boxes...
But sometimes its worth the hassle...

Yeah, the duration of the sample I took was a bit to long.
Now that I apply it on shorter samples, it's do'able.

Also did it on 50% quality, still great quality.
It's a cool board man, very happy with it.

Just got my S3000i from scoobylol on this forum..
Cool piece of hardware!

Now I almost have enough.. only a Firecface UC to go that will drop by within a couple of days..
