So you want these functions usefulness to be explained?
First is the Time stretch function. The presets you see are different algorithms for time stretching your sample. We use these to make time stretch work with different types of sample frequencies. A, B, C denote the quality, C being the best quality. RTFM - its in the manual.
Second is the Edit Duration function. It is used to change duration of note information. RTFM again. This is used to lengthen or shorten notes in your track in a sequence. Do you use the sequencer at all? it is very good for editing MIDI sequences, it is very very useful, and i use it probably once a day.
You do not need high res video, you need to RTFM, and understand what i said above. ok?

For my part, I read this here years ago:

12. MUSIC 1
13. MUSIC 2
14. MUSIC 3

can you explain it please?
What is this for?
under what circumstances we may use one or the others?
thanks
remember, in high quality video, please.

I guess you're just kidding Sally, ain't you?

The timestreach and pitchshift options are AKAI standard, as the duration control, afaIk.

Así porque sigues puteandole al menda eso, por troll?

Moreover you're an estimated beta-tester, I'm sure you already knew this.

PS
If you look well (search), you're not the first one scarcely convinced about the usefulness of the TS/PS options... their effect is known to be less then relevant.

Yeah i wonder if Sally is trolling to sometimes but from previous posts I dont think so. No sorry sally, there is no need for video. In fact you are lucky I bother answering as it is all in the manual. You do know what RTFM means right?
Hey Funkydrops what an estimated Beta tester? I know what a beta tester is, not a estimated one?
Sally maybe spend time with MPC and manual instead of trolling. These are very basic things to understand. I know english is not your first language so I hope that is the reason you dont seem to get it sometimes. There was a time before the internet when we figured out how samplers worked with just a manual, so count your self lucky you have such a wonderful place like MPC-forums to ask all these questions. So get manual and try the functions. You will learn more this way than just asking and not trying for yourself.

No Tutor I had no idea. Does not matter he blocked me anyways. You can see I try and yeah maybe i lost my patience but meh........ ya get that. I am very surprised he is Beta tester from the questions asked though, and some of the requests seem a little whacked. My opinion of course, but I still always try to help, or at least give a work round that seems reasonable. See my posts. I think sally is not being totally reasonable at all either, but I wont loose any sleep over it. AND if he is a beta tester for akai why dosnt he ask akai to do half the stuff he wants  Joke of course. there are a few known issues with my MPC1000, so I think the Beta testers dropped the ball there, and so they will have to work harder to get my worship. Did that come across all sarcastic? sorry! still sounds sarcastic dosnt it? well I try to be honest and I heavily moderate my self to, otherwise it would be alot more swearing. To be perfectly honest i do not see how he is in any way more valid as me, an end user. We both have a vested interest in seeing JJOS be what it can be, and I would be interested to see how much Sally contributes. Just can not see how he is more valid just cos he is beta tester. I dont believe that is what you mean Tutor, when you enlighten me about sally, that he is more valid right? you just giving me heads up right? I might be going off abit here but as far as I am concerned, I go only by the posts I read, and so answer like i do. Seems to me its Lost in translation or just straight up trolling. Cos some questions are like that . I never go for personal attacks, or try to insult i just say WTF and RTFM but its not ment as insult yeah. Just that the stuff he asks is in the manual. SEE above in this very thread. Why on earth does he want hirez video of a function explained in the manual?? why?? please tell me why?? is he trolling, or lazy, or not all there? i answer him , and he just asks the same thing again in a different way. see above. I couldnt give a monkeys uncle if he is god almighty, I still treat every one here the same way. If i think its whacked i say its whacked. If you want my respect then earn it. Too late now and care factor isnt really too high as well. I will not be impressed by some bodies title, only what they have to contribute and share. So good luck to him, sure as hell has not enlightend me to anything, unlike heaps of others round here. you know what i mean
/bliprock awaits a banning maybe :?:

No mofo is more valid than the next mofo.

To be perfectly honest i do not see how he is in any way more valid as me, an end user.
That's not what Tutor meant.

AND another thing. See here in this very thread ^^ Funkydrops calls sally out for trolling, and I get the blame for it. Sad sally sad.

So why the hell do I cop this then sally, why do you not foe funkydrops - he is the one that first said you are trolling, i just repeated it. I try to help you and this is how you react. Sad short sighted view and its not TL|DR is it? Every one will see this and know themselves.

The mistake was made not with anyone being called a troll.

IMO it was made with the words you chose with your so-called "help".
Yes you explained perfectly what the TS/DR functions were but at the same time seems like you repeatedly used "rtfm" which can be construed as a "lol" or "read the phuckin manual" in a derogatory way, which is why Tutor, a long time ago, asked that people refrain from using "rtfm". And this is why...... this isn't a ban type situation, lmao. It's a misunderstanding that we can all move past and keep on trucking right.

That's how I see this whole thing.

LOL I gotta chime in and laugh at the whole thing...

I've had the same confusion with those specific features and never could understand them.... and I RTFM.

Language translation can be rather difficult when dealing with an MPC. Sometimes video demonstrations make the translation easier, particularly for these features which seem vague to some degree.

To make things clearer, Sally doesn't beta test for Akai. He's an avid JJ OS user and beta tester like so many of us in the JJ OS Forum. His intentions are good. The language barrier makes translation difficult in either direction. So it's easy from my end to see where communication may become difficult at times. Words can be taken out of context without realizing it. It's fairly common on the MPC-Forums, as we have members from all around the world. But with that experience of communicating, it becomes easier to understand each other a bit more each time.
I'm sure that sally and bliprock will both be able to communicate easier as time goes by.
