At the very least we should have the option of using numbers or wav's on the flipscreen. Some of us don't care for the mpc3000 experience "number editing" experience or having to use computers for basic beat creation.
I hear ya, but I use my ears when editing, I personally don't need waveforms if anything I see it as a bonus.
Tap to transient is more important to my workflow when editing so I can find kick and snare attacks quickly tbh.
Sup retro. Yea i can 'use my ears'. Hell i can make pretty tight sequences with no quantize, and a bunch of other og tricks but i don't really want to HAVE To do that

. I started off with an Asr 10, then an asr-x. Hell i have a sp1200 right here and i gotta admit, i dont miss using numbers to edit. It's a joke and a waste of time. It's a regressive move that actually doesn't seem to have a real benefit. If i recall correctly, the JJOS 1000 has numbers and wavform right? I think it does. The new one should have that as well. Just copy what JJ did and make everybody happy. It's a damn near flawless workflow system
Tapping pads, while looking at a monitor, and working a mouse sounds terrible. As a matter of fact i don't want to deal with the computer until after i'm satisfied with my chops, and sequence. I want to be completely done with the meat and potatoes, and i want to do that with ease.
