This post is Legendary. I used to bump Guy in my walkman on the way to school. lol
And yes, TR did make it cool to bump slow jams with your windows down.

Best believe I took some notes on his mixing techniques from this vid. Great stories. AKAI 2012

"There was times...when I...use ta hang all night. Girls back ta back....I knew it wasn't right." "You Can Call Me Crazy" was like my favorite Guy song produced by TR of course. I knew Tim Gatling sang lead but had no idea Al B Sure sang the 2nd verse. I just bought the sonh of iTunes (can't find my Guy CDs :( ). But listening to it again...it does sound like Al B Sure doing back ground vocals.

Aaron Hall vocals and TR production was magic back in the late 80's/early 90's. Too bad they fell out.....

This was also my joint...and movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqULjFuS4Qk

teddy is a legend no doubt but sometimes i feel its inappropriate to have such discussions, like if them cats was all in they own personal studio kickin it and reminscing then fine.

but taking over akia's stand perhaps other peeps at the event wanted to go to the akai stand and was put off by ****** standing around making noise (admittedly they was in good spirits not like they was mean mugging) but still.

like the product manager could not relate to the vibe at all as he comming from the corporate angle so even he looked uncomfortable.

but teddy was saying some interesting shit

How do you know he wasn't invited to give feedback and talk about his experiences? Namm was like 4 days..all day.

Dan may have been bored by some of the stories.... But TR did say something that raised an eye brow. I was waiting for someone else to comment But nobody has caught it yet. An MPC guru would have caught it. I will wait to see if anyone will pick up on it.

i like what teddy was saying but i just feel that having that conversation when ur not amongst studio/music heads and not in a semi private place eg a studio is a bit out of place.

like dude beat boxing a song and all that shit like i know dude have passion but it just seemed a bit random, and u know ****** get carried away.

like i remember one time i was on the train i just mentioned one tune and dude be talking all loud and singing the tune, im like dude man that aint necessay but ****** get carried away over music and at the wrong time.

I personally aint got a problem with it, it was genuine and Akai cant buy that.

Is it any different from dudes jamming in Guitar Centre?.

You don's see legends everyday and he was generally excited about the product.

Since watching that video 10 people in my circle have placed pre-orders, go figure.

I agree with his views, toys are a legend.
