Why are Maschine users so mad

I don't understand why maschince users are so mad that akai is dropping a new product. Did the whole concept of maschine not come from the akai mpc series samplers. Didn't native instruments target mpc users with their maschine controller. I just don''t understand why they be hating, I just don't. I can honestly say that when I bought maschine, I was hoping it would be everything tht an MPC was, and it wasn't. Im quite sure people will still buy maschine, I just think that all the people that NI pulled from akai, are going back home, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Probably the same reason why MPC users (that are committed to their instrument of choice) here are..........

Because they're **** idiots! There is no reason to be mad at a company making a product that competes with one you own. The only people that should be doing any stressing out is the executives at NI themselves. But while we're on the subject of Maschine users being mad, let's not forget that Maschine has borrowed a lot more from MPC's than Ren/Studio will borrow from Maschine.

It's definitely a slight learning curve. But pretty powerful stuff if you stick through it! I had to keep in mind the possibility that I was probably much faster on my MPC for the fact that I've used it for over 10 years and remembered that I was once this slow on the MPC as well. It's all about learning the menus. Once you memorize them and memorize where functions are, like anything, you will start to fly through them.

I can understand why Maschine users are mad, but why are Beat Thang users mad??? That dude Dlpeace or whatever his name is, has two videos dissing the Renn hard, while displaying his Beat Thang.

His latest knock on it is that you can sample vinyl. He says nobody uses vinyl, he samples from YouTube..straight digital baby! That dude is hilarious.

Word! Youtube sounds like pure **** ass! I have to constantly look for better quality versions of beats that rappers bring to my studio that they got off youtube!

I see more mad "MPC users" here than I see Maschine users........

I dont understand all the anger... its like Benz owners being mad cause BMW came out with the new 2013 sedan that competes with your model Benz. you chose product. if you like your product roll with it or trade that **** in or if you got it like that keep it and get the other product too. but dont knock the next man for diggin what he digs. the new product shouldn't make you feel threatened it's healthy competition in the marketplace. better for the consumer.

look at how Dave Smith shook shit up with his table top analog synths for under $1000. Moog followed suit, Oberhiem followed suit, now Arturia and Waldorf with new analog synths. We have more choices and these companies force one another to improve the product to gain market favor over the next product. Consumers win.

akai has a piss poor reputation of late....well deserved too

a flagship mpc with one os update in 3 years lol...still on their radar but then they release three new mpcs...so have no resources for the mpc
piss poor pads on mpc1000 blue model and charging customers for a pad upgrade

apparently the king of samplers for 25 years yet has no resources to have thier own forum....not that it would be any good compared to mpc forums...
piss poor customer service....especially one the model is on the market with bugs

Really? I haven't seen anyone here expressing anger because Maschine came out. I mean, I've seen people a bit upset because they tried Maschine and just weren't happy with it, but no one upset at Maschine's existence!

I am talking about the "MPC users" that are raving mad because of the MPC Ren/Studio for real/imaginary reasons. In fact, there is more hate here for the new MPCs than over at the NI Forum...from non-Maschine users.

Oddly, though, I am not mad on either front about these new machines from Akai. The only concern I had with the new units was with potential pricing ? Now that the prices are out there, I am a tad more relaxed, as the Studio is directly priced to compete with the Maschine ( which I had hoped it would be ). I still think the REN is overpriced, but there are others that seem quite happy with the price point for it.

I am also not mad in any way at my dutiful luvly ol 1000 - this baby works fine for me in what it does. It's also a great little 'controller' in it's own right if you use it that way ( as I do ). I added the Maschine on the strength of a darn good deal and, like DJ stated above, it has a great workflow of it's own once you get to grips with it's functionality ( I am still learning about this unit, as I've only recently acquired it ). These two units combined have all bases covered for me really, although much of my work is done within a DAW anyways - as I have largely been software based for many, many years now. This is the reason why I stated that I will watch how these new units hold up over the coming eighteen months or so ? If after that period I see anything extra in them over and above what I already have and which will benefit me in some greater capacity - and, as long as they don't prove to be 'buggy' and Akai actually provide meaningul problem solving support to them - , I'll then I'll buy the unit of my choosing at that time.
