Andy you sound like 'Marv Albert' calling a game but those "Yes's" are music to our ears regarding soundfile compatibility. Keep up the great work! 8)

...Also wanted to know why did Akai choose to only have 64 voices of polyphony? (are there any future plans to increase this to say 128 notes?) I play piano/keys in addition to beatmaking and I'm concerned about dropped notes if I'm working in the Ren's 'stand alone' mode. I'm already aware I won't have this concern workin inside my daw.

I just want to know, when sampling into the Renaissance through the phono input with a turntable. Will I be able to wet the incoming signal with the Ren's effect?

I guess not huh Mr. Mac.

Being that the software will not have audio tracks, I would guess the answer is no!

you can apply them afterwards and resample, but sampling with effects wont be possible in the first release. not a bad idea for an update, tho...

btw, Andy, Dan here. How goes it?

custom high speed midi driver, custom audio driver.

Interesting...when auditioning samples from a source into the ren, is there any way to alter the sound (changing pitch for example) before actually capturing the sample?

Izotope has a timestretch algorithm called "Radidus". we're using it for our offline timestretch function. Their beat slicing algorithm is also being used.

How would you suggest we deal with plugin latency, being that there will be no way of monitoring whether or not a plugin is inducing latency into a track?

1. Funny that no one has asked but will you guys add waveform chopping to the hardware screen as well as some users see it as crucial to their workflow?

2. As for me what kind of aux routing will you have in Ren? Can I set up sidechaining and I already been told that rewire won't be in the first release?
