welcome to the board
I really enjoyed your video at NAMM, especially the bit where you mentioned no longer having to go thru 50 screens to change one parameter, this has been the news I've been waiting for all these years
why have you decided to put all your resources into new models and leave out the mpc5000 flagship and other standalone models?
I hear the mpc5000 may get an os update, but why has this taken three years? Would it not be possible to take two coders off the ren line and help deliver the long awaited os for the mpc5k a little earlier, or is your focus on new customers as oppossed to existing customers?
Have you offered JJ his old job back? With maybe a promotion for saving the mpc1k and mpc25k line?
Why do akai reps only appear on this forum when new products are about to come out, or just come out...and then disappear? I know some of em get flack...but its only cos people have spent hard earned money on machine which then have bugs
ps befoe i get, please tory to keep xparis001 as an employee
pps if youre looking for new employees dcook97(us) and scoobylol (uk) would love to work for you....hint hint
These are probably more questions relating to my area than Andy's. here we go:
1. 2. This is a question of resourses, as I mentioned before. I agree with you, as I said before, and I've been product manager for about 3 months. All i can officially say is it's my priority for us to be better about this. An update is on the plate, and is in process, and I'm sorry I cant promise a date, only that it's coming.
3. this wouldnt be possible, as the developers working on the renaissance are not the same people who worked on the MPC5000. the MPC 5000 has 8 different processors and each requires a different engineer, or at least an engineer famiiliar with the architecture to work on it. its not that others arent capable, but others would take time to get up to speed. Also, coding for a software project is vastly different from coding for an embedded system. Our focus is all customers, and again, all I can say is we want to be better at this, and we're working on it.
4. regarding, in all seriousness, it's illegal for me to comment on someone's employment or eligibility for rehire or anything like that to a third party. I assume that was a joke, but I need to cover our bases here.

5. ive mentioned this before, but I'll say it again. Andy and I are here because we love MPCs, and when a new product is coming out, we're excited. we come here on our own time. We come here because it's fun. when things become a drag, people call us names, threaten us, bully us, why would we stay? so far things are good this time around, but in the past, bad apples spoiled our experience.
6. thanks for the vote of confidence! seriously that's nice.
7. we're always looking for people, and are currently hiring for QA. If you're in the RI area, or are willing to relocate, then send me a PM. that goes for anyone. We're currently not looking for outside beta testers.
