I would like to know this too.

I don't know how long a screen printed/dyed pad would last before it started wearing off, but also trying to fuse two different colours of rubber together might be tricky.

A compromise of a single colour transparent/clear rubber wouldn't be so bad.

Pads are my #1 priority right now. The good news is they're coming along. The bad news is i cant really go more in to detail at the moment.

Nah, the red/white combination of colors on the 2kxl se2 (orange mpc) were the softest pads I've ever put my fingers on!

getting a smooth line is tough. if you want it to look like swiss cheese, that's easy :)

Why not just go with clear pads like Maschine. And then on the surface of the pads, just glue a very thin layer of original MPC pad material and just smooth the two together around the edges some how. That way you still get your gray on top and clear around the sides like the prototype without the chance of anything wiping off and still the normal MPC pad feel.

Yeah, I wonder how uniform the design was though? Have you seen the same pads as yours, and did they appear identical if you have?

People stay hating on my orange 2kxlse2, it's a beautiful thing what's wrong with yall    . It's the orange that attracted me to it.

I've messed with pads on the 3k, 2k, 2kxl, 4k and 500, for some odd reason the red/white pads are the softest to me. My orange mpc is still original and I haven't customized it at all. The pads are fine, smooth with no lines or anything, just as smooth as regular grey pads.
