I'm not a fanboy at all, but you've to give these guys credit for their passion and entusiasm.

I'm the first who doesn't trust Akai and we all know how they have been dealing with their userbase in the past.

that said, this time we have someone from Akai who is here and actually listens to what we have to say and suggest. wouldn't it be better to give them our suggestions and requests while they are still developing a product that might be good?

surely I'm not buying the Ren or the new MPC line as soon as it comes out, I want to see a bit of continuos support, and they will have to work to gain my trust back. I want to see an update for the 5000.
they said they will do certain things. ok let them work in the mean time, give them time to gain our trust back.

things might go back as they were, but they also could get better. who knows?
I don't see anything wrong in waiting with a bit of hope and then see what's going to happen.

on the other side I'm really fed up with all those actual fanboys who call "haters" those who are clearly only suggesting features or giving their feedback in a civilized way...

but you jah seem to not understand. guess you aren´t able to...

Its creepy and weird for you to show so much interest in what I want to do with my money. I don't recall anyone asking for your opinion...but feel free to give it if you like. But it won't stop me from picking up multiple Rens since they are affordable enough.

You serve no real purpose here except for trolling because we are interested in buying something that you don't like.

I think that's the case with most of us here. This is why some of us try other manufacturers products as well, like Maschine, MV's, etc.

**** wrote:are you akai fanboys really that stupid?

nukai wants to sell you their new products so they pretend to care, etc. bla bla

it´s like an election campaign

Doesn't make us fanboys because we express interest in a product (not the manufacturer) that we've been waiting for for years. I say "us" because you generalized everyone with the comment, instead of naming names of exactly who you were talking about. So I assume you meant everyone showing interest in Ren.

Also, the fact that they have a brand new product manager showing initiative and expressing what seems to be genuine desire to turn the customer support around is enough to give them my support. But if it turns out to be just a marketing tactic for Ren, then I'll say **** them. But blaming Dan for Akai's past mistakes is like black people blaming every white person for slavery. We gotta at least give him somewhat of a chance if we want what we want. Talking shit to them and interrogating them with hostile questioning disguised as genuine customer concern every chance you get is not gonna help. Save that shit and all the 5000 concerns for PM. This ain't the place for that.

I'm not saying give them all your trust, but damn, at least give that man somewhat of a chance and a little support! Remember, Dan was previously technical support, and Andy is an actual MPC user and producer. So these guys know the product and know MPC's. They ain't just a couple of corporate jerk offs that have never touched an MPC and are trying to sell us what they think an MPC is!

Like I said, this is exactly what I've wanted in an MPC for years, which is why I tried Maschine. So rather than fight these guys off, I'm gonna give em a little support so I can get what I want in return. In the end, it's all about the product for me!

Without Akai, you would not have an MPC 2500 to run the JJ OS on. You owning the MPC 2500 and rocking the JJ OS has no impact on what other people are doing/plan on doing with the MPC Ren....the same is true in reverse.

Outside of my MPD, an MPC is the only Akai product I own. I know some of you get tired about my favorable comments about the MPC product line and defense of the company that makes them. But I am here talking about the products I love. If you naysayers spend your time talking about the product(s) you love, this will be a much better/more plesant forum to visit.

So I will be checking to see how much time you spend in the MPC 2500/JJ OS forum sections. :P

yes jah, without us there would be no akai :D

i do find it rather sad they have decided to focus on new products and disregard their current product line......it has happenend time and time again since numark too over...three years wait for an os update for the mpc5k....and it aint coming any time soon...they dont even have any staff for that product

the question is....can the akai leopard rep change its spots?

Just got back from the MPC 2500/JJ OS forums. You guys are notably absent there. I anticipated reading all threads of you spreading the love about your favorite gear.
