I was thinking the same thing.
Real-time audition in the TC screen with "Do it" to commit. If you could do that without all the undo/redo button bashing it'd be perfect.
Quantize strength is also a bomb feature in the JJOS if you're looking at adding to the classic MPC way.
Yeah, it will be nice to have the swing effect actually audible changing while you tweak it. This combine with a commit feature would **** on Maschine's swing function. I actually don't mind the different levels of swing Maschine offers and I like the way it functions. And it has a lot of different options to get the perfect swing in real time. But the lack of a way to commit it completely ruins an amazing feature!xparis001 wrote:software has full piano roll editing, and if you turn TC off you can slide it around where-ever. there are sequence edit functions on the hardware, and in theory you could use these to copy or move notes around, but this is one case where a piano roll and a mouse is far superior.
Now, about the piano roll screen, and this is VERY important; if I click/highlight a note in the editor window, will there be a field somewhere on the screen that tells me ALL the midi parameter values of that note like a standard step editor would, ie Velocity, position (like 10:03:02:54), note (C2, D#1, etc), and note duration? I despise that Maschine lacks this!
we hadnt planned this but thats a good idea. looking in to how hard it would be.
