MPC Midi Control?

I have looked for days all over the internet but still no one has come up with a definitive answer....

Is it possible to use an MPC-1000 as a midi-controller on FL-Studio?


PLEASE DON'T TELL HOW I SHOULD USE MY MPC!
I UNDERSTAND AN MPD WOULD BE A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE!
I also know FL is for novice users. Don't judge me!

I would appreciate any help!

yes, If you have MIDI going into FL-studio. You got how far? Too much shouting, and not enough information to give you a full answer there cairo277.
What Os on MPC1000? akai or JJos? if JJ os which one? Have you got MIDI pluged into computer? if so how? MPC sends midi messages, so map them to FL-studio. Try getting MIDI notes out of MPC first, then try MIDI CCs after you get the notes working

I'm using the akai OS v.2.13 and I have it linked up using an M-Audio Uno - 1-In/1-Out USB (I know its very amateurish). The interface is saying that the MPC is not sending out midi notes but it can synchronize midi clocks with FL so I know it can receive.

That's the first result from a google search, I have no idea how you couldn't find that. There's also a few youtube videos that came up immediately too.

I have looked through Akai's site. This explains how to sync your MIDI clock only (which I have done). I am trying to trigger midi notes using the MPC. The youtube videos also describe how to sync the MIDI clock. Neither of these explain how to use an MPC-1000 as a midi-controller

is the program option on the main screen set to midi1a or any midi channel or is set as a drum program in the mpc? if its syncing clocks then the mpc is sending, so it must be a setting in fl or the mpc, i know nothing about fl though.

This one mate! It's not ideal but the principles are all there.

Also as long as the MIDI channels are correct on both the MPC and in FL there's no reason why this shouldn't be working for you.
