Firstly, I just want to say thanks to everyone for helping when I need it. There really is not that much out there on support for these things besides the forums. So thanks.
Here is my problem which I wound up solving by tracking each track one at a time into Protools (not the fast solution I wished for).
Ok, so I have two sequences created. One is for my hook, the other is for the verse. The chopped samples on sequence one and sequence two are all from the same song, but I created two different programs for these groups of samples (maybe my mistake). Anyhow, when I arrange a song into song mode and convert it to a sequence so it is now in song form, when the switch happens from the hook into the verse, the decay on the sample in the hook overlaps the starting sample in the hook. I thought maybe since all samples in both programs were in the same mute group this would solve that issue, but apparently not. I tried to resolve this by making it a continuous sample, and then recording a track mute on the hook set of samples so on the down beat of where the verse starts, it would mute that overlap decay. Now on the recording this actually worked, and I got happy too fast. Because on the playback, it was a way different story. It plays back like I never recorded a track mute. It shows the track muting, but you don't hear it. Still have that overlap of decay into the next programs verse pattern samples.
If your wondering why I have decay on my samples it is because I chop them in recycle first, create a custom program with the MPC software and just bring the programs right in. The decay is retained in the samples to whatever you had the setting to in recycle (stretch).
Just a history on what I tried. I tried all the settings on that truncating to end of pattern, and the other two settings there. And like I said before, tried muting out the decay which worked on the record, but was gone on the playback. All to no avail.
Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS!
