On the real,,, the letters A-C don't make an audible difference. I've tested. And the other time-stretch presets, covering the various types of audio? They don't make an audible difference. Akai's little joke,,,,

could someone explain to me the functionality of this things? I never understood this.
let me explain better, (I'll say it better): I always understood the reading, but not realized in the application.

Auto step increment: if is active it will take you in the next step AFTER you entered/deleted a note. If it's not active, on the other hand, after you enter/delete a note, you will stay on the same step.

Duration: that's a bit more tricky. Basically if "as played" is selected the duration of the note entered will be determined by the actual time you press the pad, the other option allows you to set duration which are fraction/multiples of the TC settings (so that you can enter exact quarters notes, if you want)

For STEP SOUND as I don't have the 2.5K here with me I'll tell you what I think to remember: it will play the note on the step as you scroll onto it...
