No matter which MPC you currently use, you will most likely have to adjust to the new MPC like every other MPC before it. The workflow of every MPC is different and its impossible to cater to ever MPC user.
For MPC 2000XL users, the control surface in on the left and pads to the right. The MPC Ren is the opposite. Adjustments like these will have to be made.

And yes, the general layout is very good, but the one mode you are likely to use with only a single hand on the MP shouldn't favour a left handed user.
Using the MPC 4000 and the 3000 in the same sentence implies they perform the same way but they don't. The MPC 4000 gives you one button access to sampling. The MPC 3000 has a Program/Sounds button which gives you a menu. Then you press the "Sample new sound" button within that menu to sample. But I get your point. You like to do everything with one hand.
