Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

okay I have been looking up videos and searching the forums but I can't seem to get this right...I know Im doing something wrong that is so simple thats how it always is with me

I already have the midi cable plugged in going from the out of the mpc to the in of the s950...I don't know what midi settings to change on the mpc but im trying to sample into the s950 and im not hearing anything...plz help

tip #1:
your midi cable has absolutely nothing to do with sampling. if you think you need to mention midi again, you are doing it wrong.

plug an audio source to the s950 audio in and plug the s950 out into something so you can hear it.

leave the midi cables alone if you are trying to sample into the 950.

now that you know that, take that and see where you go from there.

thanks a lot! I got it I plugged in my turntable/studio monitors into the s950 and it worked...silly me
