New guy here. Want to say hi and...

Hi Guys,
New guy here. Maschine-head converted to MPC1000.
I'm an advanced Maschine user, I owned 2 of them (sold it and rebought another one), but man... I tell ya... for editing and sequencing, that MPC1000 + JJOS2XL beats the shit out of Maschine.

Might seem weird I jumped on an old model instead of opting for the MPC Studio, but If you hook up the 1k with Reason, Ableton Live or... Maschine software you got yourself a neat setup.

Also, as a bonus, most of Maschine's library is 16bit. And you can rebuild all those multi sampled instruments with auto map in JJOS. Some of them need adjustment... like "Eb1" instead of "D#1". But I can live with that. I want to buy a 32GB card and have all my library on it.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Have you been following the board lately? There's a lot of traffic about the whole Ren/Studio thing. Reckon you might have some interesting points of view as you're a Maschine defector n'all.

And apparently Akai are listening in, so what you say may shape the future of the MPC.

I think/hope they took notice about what I said about those bloody tact switches.

Even the Maschine samps in 24, or 32 bit can still be used in the MPC. Just batch convert those bitches! That's what I did. I have the whole Maschine library on my MPC's hard drive.

iTunes might be able to do this one. Its what i instinctively go for for all my batch converting needs.

Also, being a new guy, I think you will be expected at some point to add to this thread.
