Hi,
Since the prices of hardware MPC´s are (promisingly) decreasing due to the release of the MPControllers, I was thinking of buying one of the JJ OS Mpc´s in the near future.
I dont really mind about the smaller pads on the 1000 nor the "lack" of outputs, but my main concern is the data wheel which leads to my next question: Is there any other way to change the data value in the 1000 other than the data wheel? I had the 2.5k for a short period of time back in 2007, and If I remember correctly there was buttons below the data wheel that you could use alternately.
I really dont mind using the data wheel itself, but I tried a 1000 in an electronical store in my city and I gotta say It felt like the data wheel was going to break in seconds, it felt really cheap and toyish
Is it just some sort of "plasticy illusion", or is the 1000 notorious for its data wheel breaking? Other then that the product felt really good and solid.
Btw.: isnt JJ making all the updates first on the 1k??
